Demmi is a rising star in Ghana who prides himself on originality and creativity. He elevates the sound of afrobeat and its sub-genres with fresh but well-worn thoughts on the genre and its elements. Inspired by the likes of BURNABOY, BNXN, CKAY, and many more, his unique sound makes him fluid in any genre of music.L
Making music is a very intimate process for him so he records mixes and masters all his songs. The music of singer-songwriter Demmi straddles the line between autobiographical while drawing elements from what is seen in the daily lives of people around his way.
Additionally, he isn’t afraid to be raw and unconventional as he dynamically fuses Afro beats with extremely melodic lyrics to create a mental bridge to happiness.

My debut EP is an entry point to my mind and feelings. I always have music that connects deeply with me, so I wanted to make a project that will connect with everyone on some level. The project featuring 6 songs was made from a place of many different emotions and experiences.
The dominating emotion is love and how it plays a central role in everyone’s life. The first song “it’s yours” talks about how in my previous relationship the people I am with felt like I’m not really theirs, the second song “another time” talks about consumed I have become with chasing my dreams that I think I am the best person to fall in love with.
The third song “hypnotize” talks about the hypnotic ability of women and how they can use that to win you, the fourth song “Supa Ekebe” talks about the attractive nature of women and how you can easily get consumed by their beauty, the fifth song “wonders” talks about divine nature of women.
This song expresses how women generally make men feel. The song was made with the idea of making every woman feel confident as they listen to it and finally “on this side”, a song that expresses some of the depressing feelings of our time and how people generally struggle to get food on their tables. I hope that this project will reach the deepest parts of your emotions and in some ways make you feel better.
